Annual Pride Centre membership renewals are due on the 1st of April of the year.

If you would like the right to vote [or just to have a say] at the Pride Centre Annual General Meeting, scheduled early this year for Wednesday the 26th of May, your membership must be renewed by that date.

As a charitable trust and a community based organisation serving lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Auckland; our members are vital in order for our organisation both to continue and to have a mandate to represent these communities.

First and foremost, our membership assists us in offering a first line of contact for people questioning their sexuality and trying to make contacts with our communities, along with their friends and families. We also give support, information and referrals to many ‘out’ members of our communities along with visitors to Auckland. Other Pride services and activities include: providing a venue in which a variety of community groups and organisations meet, along with a library and drop-in, referrall service; community building events such as Coming Out Day and 1998’s Spring event, and a focus for community concerns and issues, such as submissions to the Health Education draft curriculum and the Auckland City Council Election survey. Your support for our activities is much appreciated We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Pride Centre’s work through their memberships in the 1998-99 year.
